Job Description
Title: Music Lesson Assistant
Reports To: Director of Arts
FLSA Status: Nonexempt: Part-Time, Hourly

Overview:
The Music Lesson Assistant ensures world-class guest interactions for Honeywell Arts & Entertainment. This position is responsible for assisting at the front desk in North Manchester or Eagles Theatre, receiving guidance from the Director of Arts to ensure consistency in customer service across all venues. This person also serves as the receptionist and assists with other programming projects as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Note: Other duties may be assigned)

  • Ability to ascertain what the guest needs
  • Serve as an information point for guests
  • Works lessons and events as needed
  • Prepare and deliver materials as needed
  • Perform various duties, which include copying, mailing, faxing, and filing
  • Assist with communications
  • Communicate and interact with staff members as needed to complete assignments
  • Perform various computer tasks utilizing word processing and database software in a Microsoft environment including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Assist with large mailings
  • Assists programming department in preparation for upcoming events
  • Provides coverage for Music Lessons
  • Assists with other projects as assigned Responsibilities are subject to change and increase as the position evolves.

Education and/or Experience
One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
and experience in administrative relations.

  • Office environment
  • Utilizing an office desk – sitting, reading, listening or speaking with the ability to move intermittently throughout the day

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong sensory skills, such as good eyesight, good hearing, and dexterity
  • Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, copiers, fax machines, and phones
Other Requirements
Position will require evening and weekend hours
