Job Description
Heartland Career Center is searching for a dynamic individual who is looking for an opportunity to positively affect high school students in the area of Automotive Service Technology.  This position will begin August 6, 2021.   

Expectations: 

Teaching the principles of Automotive Service Technology following the framework of the Indiana Department of Education Automotive Service Technology curriculum which includes: 
  • Safety 
  • Employability Skills 
  • Accurate Diagnosis and Repair Procedures 
  • Diagnosis of Vehicle System Defects 
  • Servicing and Repairing Vehicle System Defects 
  • Servicing and Repairing Various Vehicle Systems 
Qualifications:  
  • The ideal candidate will possess successful career experience in the Automotive Service field within the transportation industry. The candidate must have verifiable occupational experience in a related field to be eligible through the Indiana Department of Education for a Workplace Specialist licensure -or- Teaching experience in a high school or technical school setting.  
  • Ability to develop rapport and demonstrate professionalism with high school students, parents, staff and community. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a collaborative environment of education professionals to create the best career ready skills for our students.
