The position has the following responsibilities:

• Organize and lead continuous improvement teams to optimize work flow, methods and cell designs to improve safety, lead time and cost
• Coach, train and mentor cross-functional teams in use and application of Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Line Balance, 5S, SMED and Kanban
• Implement systems to ensure process improvements are sustained  at the optimum level, rate, and quality of output in order to meet customer needs
• Interpret or guide Motion and Time studies when needed
• Confer with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations

An Industrial Engineering degree or four years of related experience in a manufacturing work environment are requirements for this opening.

Expertise with ERP software and Microsoft Excel/Word is also desired.
