Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a matter that is consistent with customers, clients, co-workers, supervisors, managers and all other employees’ expectations

• Assisting in certification, adherence and maintenance of IATF 16949 processes, procedures and requirements o Specific process duties of the Q.C. Engineer are:

        ▪ Resource Management

                • Provision of resources
                • Infrastructure
                • Work Environment

        ▪ Product Realization

                • Planning of product realization
                • Customer-related processes
                • Purchasing
                • Production and service provision
                • Control of monitoring and measuring devices
                • Sufficient knowledge of performance testing (e.g. Flammability, MVTR, etc.) 
  • Monitoring and Measurement 
                • Internal audit
                • Monitoring and measurement of processes
                • Monitoring and measurement of product
                • Control of nonconforming product
                • Corrective and preventive action
  • Support the Quality Management System’s document and data control processes, operating procedures, work instructions and forms, which apply to operations
  • Support, either directly or indirectly, personnel activities related to product quality verification and validation
  • Participate in and contribute to the company’s continual improvement process teams and activities
  • Coordinate day-to-day Corrective Action Requests process activities • Support all aspects of the company’s supplier certification and evaluation process
  • Support and train employees in the use of quality management and quality control tools and techniques
  • Perform internal audits and direct the activities of Quality System Internal Auditors in accordance with established internal audit procedures and management requirements
  • Provide support to customers during contract review, production of products and after sales support (includes direction of customer returned product processes)
  • Proficiency in APQP Process and Core Tools (FEMA, Control Plan, Process Flow, SPC, PPAP, MSA)
  • Testing and inspection
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Strong ability to interface with all levels of staff to achieve organizational goals
  • B.S. in Business, Engineering or combination of experience and education
  • Computer experience with Microsoft Office, Minitab, and CAD
  • Able to communicate and engage employees in projects
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Must be highly organized and a self-starter
  • Comfortable in adjusting priorities
  • Entry level, up to 5 year experience
  • Proficient learner
CHEMICALS USED: None.

WORKING CONDITIONS Environment: Enclosed structure with moderate temperatures ranging from 55 degrees to 100 degrees. Higher temperatures near the oven for short periods of time. Noise levels up to 94db. All work is performed at the normal sitting level.
