Job Title: Marketing & Events Project Manager
Reports To: Vice President
FLSA: Full Time, Salaried, Exempt

Job Summary:
The Marketing & Events Project Manager is responsible for planning, overseeing and executing all marketing and event planning efforts for Grow Wabash County. This position will independently manage the strategic marketing initiatives for the organization and staff volunteer committees to plan and execute more than a dozen annual events and programs. Grow Wabash County is a catalyst for community, convener for business, and champion for education--this person will need to be a tech-savvy, highly adaptable, out-of-the-box thinker to effectively communicate all the initiatives Grow Wabash County leads and supports.

Hours of Employment:
This is a full-time position at 40 hours a week, generally on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., with occasional adjustments to include evenings and weekends due to special events. While performing the duties of this job, the individual is sometimes required to travel within the Wabash County and NE Indiana area and is rarely asked to travel regionally, nationally, and internationally.

Responsibilities & Essential Duties:
  •     Oversee execution of all marketing efforts utilizing all mediums including email blasts, website, social media, print media, promotion items, advertisements, etc. to promote a vast variety of community initiatives
    • Create and implement a marketing and communication plan
    • Design promotional materials in various mediums or work with vendors to create needed items
    • Oversee all outgoing communications from organization to ensure cohesive branding and messaging
    • Track key data regarding events, programs and marketing initiatives to ensure we are achieving our goals
    • Oversee the design and content for the annual report
  • Oversee execution of all events and programs
    • Organize and lead volunteer committees to plan and execute more than a dozen annual events and programs
  • Create annual budgets for programs, events, and general marketing priorities
  • Assist Operations & Investor Services Manager on maintenance of the customer relationship management database to ensure database is up-to-date
  • Oversee applications and reporting requirements for marketing, program, and event grants
  • Work closely with the Operations & Investor Services Manager on policies, procedures, and projects to ensure investors and community receive maximum benefit from organization
  • Represent GWC in local committees, boards and events
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information that may be imparted to or by superiors, clients, constituents, elected or appointed officials, co-workers, other employees and/or other persons
  • Performs other such relevant duties as assigned

Education: Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Marketing, Economics, Business or
an appropriate equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge Of:
  • Principles, practices, procedures, techniques, and laws pertaining to event planning
  • Public, business and community relations techniques
  • Some ability with graphic design
  • Website development and maintenance
  • Social media and other marketing channels
Salary: Salary dependent upon experience.
