Grow Wabash County Investor Services & Events Project Manager
 
Reports To: Vice President  FLSA: Full-time, Salaried, Exempt   
 
Job Summary:
Two main focus areas for this person is to be the liaison to investors and to oversee events and programs. As the investor services lead this person maintains relationships with existing stakeholders while recruiting new investors to buy into the mission of the organization.

For the event manager aspect, this person will be the lead on planning, overseeing and executing all aspects of multiple events and programs. This position will manage the volunteer committees and execute more than a dozen events and programs annually.

This role demands an expert in all aspects of event, meeting, and conference planning, including cost containment, venue scouting, equipment logistics, room setup, and best practices. The best candidate can manage the daily details and use big-picture thinking to ensure truly valuable experiences for investors and stakeholders.
 
 
Hours of Employment:
Full-time position at 40 hours a week, generally Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., in office located in downtown Wabash with occasional adjustments to evenings and weekends due to special events and programs.  While performing the duties of this job, the individual is often required to travel within Wabash County and regionally.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all investor services initiatives including recruitment of new members and retainment of existing members; duties including meeting one-on-one with members, personally outreach to invite them to events/programs, coordinate benefits, and be their point of contact to the organization to answer questions. 
  • Manage the customer relationship management software and ensure data is up-to-date for each member on an ongoing basis 
  • Organize meetings including send reminders, set up meeting room, confirm attendees, prepare materials, take minutes during meetings, send follow-up after meetings, etc.
  • Work closely with the team on programs and projects to ensure investors receive maximum benefit from organization 
  • Oversee execution of all events and programs
  • Coordinate with internal staff, committees, and vendors to establish the requirements for an event, and serve as liaison throughout the planning process
  • Locate resources, visit sites, and lead pre-event meetings to help staff make decisions about event design
  • Plan and facilitate logistics for all events, including contract negotiations, guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, security, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, decor, and marketing materials
  • Oversee client experiences from conception through post-event review; manage on-site preparations, production, and event breakdown; and ensure consistent, high-level service throughout all phases
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive database of industry contacts, vendors, and venues
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise on event day
  • Organize and lead volunteer committees to plan and execute more than a dozen annual events and programs
  • Create and maintain budgets for programs and events
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with vendors and caterers
  • Assist Office Administrator on maintenance of the customer relationship management database to ensure database is up-to-date
  • Oversee applications and reporting requirements for program and event specific grants
  • Represent GWC in local committees, boards and events
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information that may be imparted to or by superiors, clients, constituents, elected or appointed officials, co-workers, other employees, and/or other persons
 
Requirements
Education: Experience or degree in fields such as Sales, Economics, Business, Marketing, Event Planning, Project management or an appropriate equivalent preferred.  
 
Salary: $33,280-$36,000 plus a 20% stipend on payroll in lieu of traditional benefits
