Event Description:
Grow Wabash County will celebrate the graduation of 26 students from our Leadership Development Wabash County program. Your support of this program through your belief in our future leaders was critical to its success. The students have completed a course of study that allowed them to develop leadership skills and be able to apply those abilities in their workplace and in community service. Topics of study included participating in a StrengthsQuest, DISC Leadership Assessment, Leadership Styles, Ethics, Motivating Others, Technology, Decision Making and more. In addition to the course curriculum, the book study for the class was based upon Strengths Based Leadership: Great Leaders, Teams, and Why People Follow by Tom Rath and Don Clifton.
We are fortunate to have Jim Smith, retired Teacher, as our program facilitator. The class was able to garner additional instruction from community professionals through panel discussions on topics such as Government, Not-for-Profits, Economic Development, Social Service, and Education. Students conducted group discussions and put concepts into action through the learning methods employed. We are confident that the employees you supported have enriched their knowledge and experience through this eight-month course of study.Grow Wabash County
