Grow Wabash County is excited to celebrate The Old Kettle Saloon for its grand opening and a return to its original name and legacy. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 23 to mark the occasion.
“We are proud to celebrate the grand opening of The Old Kettle Saloon and the return of a name that holds special meaning in our community. Andrea and Zach Craft are building on that legacy while creating a welcoming gathering place for residents and visitors alike. We are excited to support this new chapter and their continued success in Wabash County,” Jana Thibos, Investor Services & Events Project Manager, Grow Wabash County
“The Old Kettle has been a local landmark for over 50 years. Initially the establishment was known as "Howdy Bob's" and then the "Iron Kettle" before becoming The Old Kettle Saloon. For many years The Kettle operated as a local bar without a kitchen. They just had great pizza (that many have burned the roof of their mouths on) and popcorn. Today The Old Kettle Saloon has a fully functioning kitchen with great bar food, a friendly atmosphere and even better drinks. Andrea (a Wabash local) worked as a bartender at The Kettle for 16 years before moving on in 2023. Zach (originally from Noblesville) has been a musician for most of his life and together they brought their bar knowledge and love of music to The Kettle when reopening the business on May 2nd. The business now features guitars on the walls and vintage musical decor throughout the establishment. We hope to carry on The Old Kettle Saloon legacy and continue to provide amazing service and food to the community. We are creating a space where everyone is welcome and invited to join us for great food, drinks, and conversation. Where Music meets the Spirits," said owners Andrea and Zach Craft.
The ribbon cutting ceremony for The Old Kettle Saloon will begin at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, at 1633 Stitt Street in Wabash. After the ceremony, guests are encouraged to stick around for a meet and greet with the new owners and to enjoy a 20% off food items promotion (4-6- pm) along with $2 well drinks and $12 domestic buckets of beer.
