Write-a-Will Week

​Charitable Gift Planners of Northeast Indiana (CGPNI) is proud to present Write a Will Week, a community-wide initiative to promote the importance of having a will and encouraging charitable giving in the form of a bequest. During this week, local attorneys partner with non-profits to volunteer their time, preparing simple wills for participants at no charge when at least one gift is left to charity in the will.

Last October, the Community Foundation of Wabash County, along with the Honeywell Foundation, Peabody Retirement Community, Josiah White’s, Manchester University, Parkview Health Foundation, the Wabash County YMCA, and Living Well of Wabash County, helped to promote a will-writing initiative of the Charitable Gift Planners of Northeast Indiana. The initiative, called Write a Will Week, consists of local attorneys who donate their time to create simple wills at no charge, so long as the individuals leave a gift of at least $500 to a charity of their choice in their will.
