Job Description
Job Title: Community Outreach Coordinator
Position Status: Part-Time, 25 hours per week
Hourly Pay: Commensurate with experience
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Wabash, Indiana

Position Summary: In alignment with Babe of Wabash County’s mission, vision, values, and
goals, we seek a team-oriented professional to support and coordinate a growing non-profit.
This position is a part-time role to help with Babe's day-to-day operations and long-term goals.
The Community Outreach Coordinator will maintain the coupon program Babe, including
maintaining the connections between Babe and our coupon vendors. The Community Outreach
Coordinator will report to, work with, and fill in gaps where needed under the direction of the
Executive Director. The Community Outreach Coordinator is a new position in the organization.
Some changes to the duties may occur over time as Babe continues to advance and grow. All
employees of Babe of Wabash are responsible for supporting the goal of becoming a recognized
leader in the family service industry.

A background check will be required.

Responsibilities
● Oversees the coupon program under the direction of the director.
● Helps coordinate new relationships with potential coupon vendors and maintains
relationships with current ones through face-to-face visits, email, social media, phone
calls, and marketing mailings.
● Proficient at running reports as well as tracking data.
● Utilizes online marketing, social media platforms, and our CRM tools.
● Coordinating, recruiting, and maintaining relationships with volunteers.
● Work with our marketer to highlight our vendors' activities online and at Babe.
● Complete and assist with general administrative duties as assigned by the ED, including
but not limited to our community vendors.
● Have full knowledge of day-to-day duties, assist with the front desk, give tours of Babe
to visitors, explaining the mission, vision, and values to those interested in becoming
patrons.
● Collaborate effectively with all areas of Babe, including facilities, programming, family
coordinating, volunteers, the boutique, and day-to-day duties.
● Support financial development efforts in collaboration with the executive director.
● Provide operational reporting as requested in a timely manner
● Assist the executive director with side events throughout the year.
● Other responsibilities include punctual arrival for work and meetings as scheduled and
meeting all deadlines with a sense of urgency and care toward your work.
Education Experience
● Bachelor's Degree in social work, education, or business
● Proven office management, administrative, or assistant experience. Two years of
experience in leadership, public relations, and administrative work.
● Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with diverse families,
staff, community stakeholders, and partners. Sensitive to working with people of
different backgrounds, abilities, and life experiences.
● Readiness to respond effectively to guests' needs/emergencies in a calm and comforting
manner
● Works independently or cooperatively as a team
● Shows initiative and the ability to meet deadlines with attention to details
● Has a growth mindset, a flexible spirit, and a forgiving nature that are essential for the
success of this job
● Exhibits organizational, collaborative, and problem-solving skills
● Strong organizational skills and proficient use of Google, Canva, Mailchimp, Bloomerang,
Facebook, Instagram, and other fundamental data systems, platforms, and tools.
● A personable, warm, loving, and friendly disposition.
● Able to positively accept and take direction from the executive director.
● Shows a STRONG and unwavering passion and commitment to the mission, vision, and
values of Babe of Wabash County.
Work Environment:
● The noise level in this work environment can range from quiet to very noisy, with
occasional startling noises.
● Some heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) could be involved.
● Must be able to use stairs.
Schedule
● Monday-Friday
● Work one evening a week, and occasionally on Saturday as needed.
