Job Description

Employment Status: Non-exempt position. Licensed clinician’s base pay starts at $40 of hours for the services rendered. Non-licensed clinicians’ base pay starts at $30 for the services rendered.

Position Summary:  Clinicians provide individual, family, and couples therapy; utilizing their training, education, and experience to provide the highest level of care possible. Clinicians may choose to refer a client to another provider whether internal or external depending on the needs and best care for each client.

Reports to: He/she reports to the Executive Director and Clinical Director.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provides individual, couples, and family counseling
  • Create a safe environment in which clients may express their thoughts and feelings to help them develop insight into themselves and their relationships in which the client is working towards their identified goals
  • Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with identified concerns/goals
  • Prepare and maintain all required clinical documentation including but not limited to treatment plans, intakes, progress notes, 90-day treatment plan reviews, etc
  • Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations
  • Work closely, respectful, and professional with other staff and clinicians
  • Refer clients or family members to community resources or specialists as necessary
  • Modify treatment approaches as needed to comply with changes in the client’s status
  • Commit to continuing education: reading professional literature, attending training, etc
  • Keep counseling license current and in good standing and/or working towards licensure
  • Report unusual or abnormal behavior of clients/families including DCS reports, threats, or statements that may put the staff of FCC at risk immediately to the Executive Director.
  • Attend Staff Meetings
  • Must hold an Associates or Higher License
  • Must abide by ACA, AAMFT, or NASW code of ethics based on counseling discipline
  • Must abide by FCC policies and procedures
  • Must align with FCC’s Mission and Value
  • Must adhere to the FCC Statement of Fait
