Duties:
- Administer medications and insulin to patients as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor patients for any changes in condition and report to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Document medication administration and patient care activities accurately and timely
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients who require assistance
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures
```Qualifications:```
- Must be a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) certified in the state of Indiana
- Must be Certified in Insulin Administration
- Previous experience in hospice care, caregiving, or senior care required
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and medication systems
- Familiarity with medical documentation and electronic health record systems
- Ability to perform physical examinations and assist with tube feeding if required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
