Marketing Director

Position Summary:
The Marketing Director has primary responsibility for the development and implementation of a
comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that supports the Community Foundation’s
strategic framework, elevates the work of nonprofits in Wabash County, and advances community-wide
initiatives such as educational attainment and Imagine One 85. This position plays a critical role in telling
the Foundation’s story, amplifying community impact, content management, and ensuring consistent,
engaging messaging across all platforms.
Working collaboratively with development, program, and executive staff, the position manages the
Foundation’s brand, produces high-quality communications materials, and supports donor engagement,
grantmaking, scholarships, and education initiatives through strategic storytelling and outreach.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing and Communications:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications plan aligned with the
Community Foundation’s mission, strategic priorities, and community initiatives, including IO85.
• Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and voice across all print, digital, and media
communications.
• Identify and elevate stories that highlight community impact, nonprofit partnerships, donors,
grantees, and scholarship recipients in Wabash County.

Content Development and Publications:
• Produce and take ownership of Community Foundation publications including e-newsletters, the
annual report, scholarship book, PowerPoint presentations, brochures, Imagine Early flyers, and
other CFWC collateral as assigned
• Write and distribute press releases; coordinate with local media as appropriate
• Photograph grant recipients, scholarship awardees, donors, and event activities for use in print,
digital, and social media communications
• Assist with creation of marketing and promotional materials for CFWC events including the
annual Philly awards, Planned Giving Seminar, CapLab, Investment Forum, and others

Digital, Website, and Social Media:
• Create and publish social media posts, monitor engagement, and recommend content strategies
• Manage and regularly update the Community Foundation website to ensure content is current,
accurate, and aligned with organizational priorities.
• Capture, organize, and manage photo and video content; assist with basic video editing and short-
form storytelling for digital and social media use

Program and Development Support:
• Provide marketing and communications support to development, program, and executive staff to
ensure consistent messaging and branding across all initiatives.
• Promote grant opportunities and maintain visibility of the online Grant Catalog through digital,
print, and social media channels
• Support marketing and communications efforts for the IO85 project, including storytelling,
updates, and community outreach materials.
• Assist with development and donor stewardship communications, including fundiversary cards,
acknowledgments, donor features, and campaign-related materials
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate will have experience with the design, layout, and production of newsletters,
annual reports, and other publications.
• Proficiency in Canva and other design and task management software is a plus.
• The candidate will also possess excellent organizational skills, strong public relations skills, and
will exhibit effective written and oral communication skills and has the ability to work in a small
office environment.
• Imagination, creativity, resourcefulness, and a sense of humor are valuable personal attributes.
• A bachelor’s degree is required, and experience in marketing or other closely related fields.

Compensation & Benefits:
• Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience
• Annual Paid Time Off (PTO) of 15 days (120 hours)
• Summer Hours policy of an additional 5 days (40 hours) of paid time off between Memorial and
Labor days
• $3,500 annual health stipend
• Simple IRA employer match of up to 3%
