EMPLOYMENT STATUS:   Full Time/Regular/Exempt
Salary Range:  $25.00 To $27.50 Hourly

Job Summary

Granting Writing and Administrative Donor Services.  Must have excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills along with the ability to utilize those skills to create successful proposals.  This Advancement Coordinator is responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources.  This includes researching, compiling, writing, and editing grant applications, as well as developing templates to streamline the grant proposal process. Track and measure compliance and collect outcome data for reporting purposes. Advancement Coordinator will also prepare donor thank you letters.  Oversight of CSM database and reports.

Qualifications

A Christian with strong convictions who is also in agreement with Josiah White’s  mission statement, Statement of Faith, and Code of Conduct.  Bachelor’s or higher degree in Communications, English, Business, or related degree.  Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or project coordination is highly preferred. Must have demonstrated strong verbal and written skills, and can write clearly, concisely, and without error.

Primary Responsibilities

Grant Writing

Works under the direction of the VP of Advancement to develop and execute strategies to develop and maintain a robust grants program that meets annual production and revenue goals.
Performs prospect research on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects for grants.
Coordinates with departmental leadership on projects that related to them to obtain necessary information for proposals/grant applications.
Works with finance/accounting to gather information for budgets and financials.
Work with department heads to ensure grant award compliance.
Collect outcome information and prepare grant reports in a timely manner.
Manage grants management folder on Google drive, and the grants master calendar in Asana.
Track grant activity in CRM (Virtuous).
Coordinate with marketing for grant award press releases.

Donor Services

Prepares thank you letters and tax receipt letters for donors
Lead oversight of CSM database (Virtuous), including producing lists for appeal letters, newsletters, annual reports, events, etc.  Preparation of Virtuous reports.
Populates Advancement information into the organization dashboard.
Provides assistance in adding donor related information into CRM (Virtuous) on behalf of VP of Advancement and Director of Donor Relations.
Open Advancement mail, deliver any checks received to the accounting office, and enter gifts into CRM (Virtuous).
Prepare and communicate daily donation gifts via email to accounting, advancement, CEO and COO.
Help plan and attend fundraising events; keeps financial records of revenue and expenses for each event.
All other duties as assigned by the VP of Advancement.

Physical Demands of the Position

Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to tolerate heavy typing load for long periods of time.
Must work well under the pressure of deadlines and stressful situations.
Must be able to go up and down stairs.

Working Conditions

Normal in office work hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Additional hours beyond the normal office hours will be required on occasion as needed.
Occasional travel may be required including some overnight travel.
