Wabash County, IN – On Wednesday, June 3, local business, organizations and individuals spent their day at the Honeywell Public Golf Course for some networking and friendly competition during Grow Wabash County’s annual WACCY Golf Outing.
Over the course of two flights, 26 teams consisting of 104 players teed off across the course. Most holes were managed by volunteers and hole sponsors, who were there to make the experience even more fun by providing a multitude of games and opportunities to connect including the putting green competition, a golf ball cannon, and the chance to win $5,000 by scoring a hole-in-one.
After each flight, the scores were tallied, and the winners were announced for top scores, the longest drives, the longest putt and closest to the pin. Each winner walked away with a variety of prizes made possible through generous donations and event sponsorships.
Winners
This year’s WACCY Golf Champion, and current owner of the WACCY Championship belt for the next year, is Living Essentials, who pulled out the win with a score of 54. In addition to their take-home prizes, the team will receive free admission to the 2027 Manchester Alive Golf Outing next spring.
Grow Wabash County would like to extend a special thank you to the sponsors of this year’s event:
