Description
The Mortgage Loan Officer originates residential loan transactions, construction loans, home equity lines of credit, and assists with other financial needs. Protecting the Bank by ensuring that all credit and compliance policies, procedures, and regulations are followed. The role represents the Bank positively in the community and make relationships with real estate professionals and deepen customer and community relationships.

Qualifications:
Originate residential mortgage loans, construction loans, home equity lines of credit, and consumer loans. Forms relationships with individuals in the real estate community and generate prospective client leads. Provides expertise in mortgage lending topics and products to both customers and co-workers. Underwrites and make credit decisions according to secondary market standards and Bank policies. Adhering to Bank lending policies/procedures and federal lending regulations. Representing the Bank at loan closings, public functions, meetings, and community events.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of mortgage lending experience.
- College degree or advanced education preferred but not required.
- An understanding of, and experience with, residential mortgage lending.
- Familiarity with secondary market requirements.
- Experience with banking software and other technology applications.
- Strong communication, organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work within a team environment.
- Familiarity with lending compliance rules, regulations, and timelines.
- Relationships within the Wabash County, IN community.
- Be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
