As the Enabling Technologist (ET), you will leverage technological expertise to provide technical assistance, training, education, and consultation in both Enabling Technology and Information Technology. This pivotal role involves collaborating with the Occupational Therapist in selecting and deploying enabling technology for habilitation programs, training end users and support staff, and designing, configuring, and supporting the network of enabling technology devices.

As a member of the Information Technology Department, the ET will manage and deploy information technology to end users in our non-profit enterprise. This includes working closely with program and business staff, collaborating with the System Administrator and help desk staff, and ensuring an inclusive environment by deploying, configuring, securing, managing, and monitoring IT end user devices and software.

The ET will also provide technical support for a diverse user base, including individuals with disabilities, and deliver training on new technology. Contributions to project implementation, support operations, and adopting new technologies are essential, as is performing preventative maintenance and updates to regularly used systems. Key responsibilities include documenting technical support interactions, training, and recommendations, managing asset lifecycle, inventory, and user registrations. Additionally, the ET will assess and recommend technology for potential adoption, contributing significantly to the organization's technological landscape.

Preferred Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years’ experience in diagnosing, maintaining, and troubleshooting PC and networking hardware effectively. Experience with IOT is a plus.
• Experience in Microsoft OS, Apple IOS, & Android platforms required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Basic language, written and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
• Willingness to support people with disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and safe driving record.
• Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.
•  Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times.
