Position Overview:

The experiential education clinical outreach coordinator is a full-time, 12-month, administrative position that reports to the director of the Office of Experiential Education (OEE) for the College of Health Professions, Nursing and Pharmacy (HPNP). This individual will work as part of the Fort Wayne staff providing support to HPNP programs with a primary assignment in the Office of Experiential Education.

Essential Job Functions:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Audit and maintain records for experiential learning including but not limited to affidavits of student experience and experiential interprofessional education assessments.

Conduct communication and outreach to HPNP program preceptors/clinical instructors (CIs) regarding meetings and events, programmatic information, and award nominations.

Manage and publish monthly newsletters to pharmacy students, and quarterly publications to preceptors/CIs.

Schedule, prepare for, and maintain records for regularly conducted HPNP programs' experiential events, including but not limited to Experiential Education Advisory Councils and the annual Preceptor Showcase.

Facilitate, alongside members of OEE, routine experiential site visits for HPNP programs' sites.

Manage appointment requests external to OEE and arrange internal department and interdepartmental meetings within OEE as needed.

Represent OEE and/or HPNP on College and University committees as assigned/elected.

Alongside the OEE team, develop, assess and maintain databases including contracts, affiliate faculty, and clinical practice sites.

Alongside OEE team, manage and document HPNP student state licensure and in accordance with state law and program accreditation requirements related to student participation in experiential and other clinical education activities.

Provide administrative support to HPNP programs and/or committees as assigned.

Perform day to day functions commensurate with needs required to maintain a professional and effective office, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 5 years of experience in an administrative support role required.

Proficiency in Spanish highly preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software required.

Strong English oral and written communication skills required.

Professional appearance and the ability to interact effectively with persons of all organizational levels is required.

Experience in an academic and/or professional health care setting desired.

Experience in database creation and maintenance.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, non-exempt (i.e., hourly) position. Forty (40) hours per week (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. M-F) will be the general rule. Some responsibilities, events and/or meetings may be scheduled in the evening or on weekends. Alternative times will be necessary to meet the needs of students in on-line distance pathway programs.
